Independent app developer
Hi, I’m Aydin. I build minimalist, practical apps that solve real problems—starting with tools I’d use myself.
01 / ABOUT ME
I’m Aydin Battal, a software engineer based in Mississauga, Ontario. My vision is to build minimalist, practical apps that solve real problems: software I’d reach for in my own life, with a clear purpose and less clutter.
My experience spans mobile, web, and backend development. I’ve worked on machine learning at RBC, enterprise iOS software at BlackBerry, and web products at Insured Connect and Lux Transport. I hold an Honours Bachelor of Computer Science from Sheridan College.
Today, I take my own products from an idea through design, development, testing, and release. I work with tools including Swift, Kotlin, React Native, Angular, and Python, and use feedback from real users to decide what to improve next.
